Problem Solver:Spot Fix
Spot attack
Spots always seem to make an appearance at the worst possible time. If you can't resist picking (not recommended!) check that your hands are clean and use a tissue to gently squeeze the surrounding skin. Dabbing an antibacterial agent such as tea tree or lavender oil on the affected area will ensure it is bacteria free and reduce the risk of spreading and infection.
If like me you are unfortunate enough to suffer from oily spot prone skin, try to avoid alcohol, caffeine, spices and foods containing iodides. These can stimulate oil production increasing your risk of breakouts.
A great tip I swear by and recommend to anyone with problem prone skin is to leave a dab of toothpaste on pimples over night. Once the area has dried out, use eyedrops to minimize any remaining redness.
For those of you who prefer to mask your spots and let them run their natural course, use a fine-tipped brush to paint concealer in the centre of your pimple and gradually feather out. Always blend thoroughly and set with powder to prolong the durability of your make-up.
There you have it! A quick and simple spot fix capable of disguising and banishing even the most stubborn of spots.
