Corrective Make-up For The Chin and Jawline
Corrective make-up for the chin and jawline.
Some problems are best left alone however, using corrective make-up techniques to effectively tackle your more undesirable features can disguise the area while successfully drawing attention away from the flaw completely.
The aim of corrective make-up for the chin and jawline is to use highlighter and shader to balance the effects of bone structure or, reduce muscle tone around the lower jaw depending on your problem area.
Follow my tips to improve your appearance and disguise common prominent features.
Problem: Double Chin
Technique: Shader is to be applied to the fuller area of the double chin.
Remember that too much product will only emphasise the problem so ensure that you blend thoroughly with the surrounding make-up.
Problem: 'Heavy' Jaw Line
Technique: To break up the jaw line shader is to be applied to each of the angles of the jaw.
Highlighter can then be used in a narrow strip down the centre of the chin.
Problem: Protruding Chin
Technique: A protruding chin can easily be disguised by the application of shader over the prominence of the chin area.
Problem: Receding Chin
Technique: As with protruding, a receding chin is disguised by simply sweeping highlighter over the centre of the chin.
Problem: Drooped Contours
Technique: If you suffer from drooped contours you will typically have 'jowls' (plump or flacid flesh under the lower jaw) created by slack muscles over the angles of the jaw. Corrective make-up techniques can be used by applying shader to the 'jowls' to disguise the problem area.
Remember that imperfections are beautiful.
Corrective make-up can be a great tool in boosting your confidence and disguising features you are more conscious of however, application must be very accurate and blended well to prevent emphasising the problem area rather than disguising it.
Experiment to determine what works best for you. Practice does make perfect after all.
