How To Get This Seasons Bold Bright Lips

From fuchsia pink to neon orange this season is all about statement lip colour and it seems the bolder and brighter, the better!
Following my simple tips will ensure that you pull of this vibrant trend beautifully while achieving the perfect power pout.


All about the base
Flawless, radiant skin acts as the perfect canvas for bold lips. Think doll face - a beautiful bare complexion with understated eyes and slightly flushed cheeks. Keeping your make-up to a minimum as your lips ping will balance your face perfectly without cosmetics overload!

Precision application
To ensure that your lip colour fades evenly, use a lip pencil to outline the lips prior to shading the entire lip area. Not only does this act as a fixative for lipstick it also prevents an unsightly line when your colour wears off.

Apply your chosen shade of colour and blot with tissue.
If your lipstick has a tendency to bleed or feather into the fine lines around the mouth, you may want to opt for a matte drying finish as this will help to prevent the problem from occurring.

Apply a second coat of lipstick.
Avoid wearing lipsticks with a frosted finish as you get older. These particular products will only highlight lines around a more mature mouth.

To complete your look dust lips with a small amount of translucent powder.
This will fight fading and help to set your lipstick by absorbing excess oil that may cause the pigment to 'slide'.
