Cheat Your Way To Cheekbones

Cheat your way to cheekbones
We're not all blessed with razor sharp cheekbones but with the correct use of contouring  the illusion of perfectly formed features can be created to bring out the structure of the face. The trick is to purchase a face powder or blusher that echoes the natural shadows under prominent bones. This can be achieved by the use of a shade slightly darker than your foundation. I personally find beige blushers do the job perfectly but experiment to find the perfect shade for your skin tone and desired look.
A great tip to achieve perfect contouring is to suck your cheeks in and apply your product beneath the cheekbone. This will ensure correct contouring and create a sculpted, defined look.

Now follow my simple steps for foolproof blusher
1. Before applying blusher blow any excess powder from your brush. If your application is too heavy handed colour can be toned down by dusting with translucent powder or blotting with a damp make-up sponge.

2. Softly sculpted cheekbones can be created by applying blusher in small circular motions down the cheekbone. This will ensure a natural-looking finish free from unsightly stripes of colour.

3. When defining the apples of your cheeks dab in colour before massaging into the skin in small circular motions. This will create a healthy flush of colour.

4. Highlighter flatters every face shape and can be achieved by using your fingertips to dab onto the top of your cheekbone. I love shimmering ivory and use it by working away from the eyes, blending downwards to create a soft supple effect. Always remember to apply highlighter sparingly.

Staying power
If your blusher has a habit of disappearing within hours of application smooth on a cream blusher prior to dusting a powder formula in a similar shade on top. The powder blusher acts as a setting agent over the cream to improve staying power for lasting wear.

Now you have the perfect tips to cheat your way to gorgeously sculpted cheekbones!
