Life is too short not to eat cake

Life is too short to be anything but happy.

If happiness resembles healthy habits, self acceptance and participating in some form of physical activity each day, that's great, but don't place unnecessary pressure on yourself to push beyond your boundaries to the point where you become psychologically preoccupied with leading a lifestyle where you don't let yourself go once in a while. Its impossible to maintain the motivation to move more, eat less (crap) and love yourself inside out when life has a habit of intensifying our insecurities and triggering the temptation to overindulge in delicious dishes and desserts.

By all means enjoy exercise and eating healthy, homemade food, but don't forget to allow yourself some physical and psychological freedom every now and then. Your body (and mind) will thank you for it when times get tough, training sessions are skipped and a takeaway is the only option - three things that will make the simplest of 'slip ups' seem like the end of the world if you've pressured yourself to the point of psychological stress.
