The psychology of why we eat


Boredom, cravings and comfort are just a selection of the core culprits responsible for our overwhelming urge to reach for calorie fuelled food and drink sources, but did you know that every eating behaviour is linked to the human brain?
Over the next few weeks we will be taking a closer look at the neurobiology of appetite, as we analyse the real reasons why we struggle to sustain the self discipline not to succumb to the sweet stuff during times of stress and distress, and why those boredom induced binges drive us to dedicating every ounce of guilt fuelled energy to the drastic diets that leave us prone to piling on the pounds.
