Colour Correctors: What Shade Is For You?

With the primary purpose of brightening extreme under eye darkness, correctors are lightweight pigmented formulas which are applied prior to concealing products, allowing them to both lighten, and blend. But with an array of correctors specifically designed for every skin problem imaginable, what works for you?

To prevent any unwanted make-up mistakes, a simple rule to follow when choosing a corrector is to remember that if your skin is pale, opt for lighter shades such as bisque and light pink. If you have a deeper skin tone, shades such as peach and dark peach will prove to be more suitable.

Although a peach or pink toned corrector can often be applied to counter the purple or green tinge associated with under eye darkness, occasionally, these particular products fail to provide the basis to banish the problem completely. If you find that the application of a yellow-toned concealer lightly layered over the corrector isn't enough to lighten the area, a great tip is to try opting for a bright pink or peach cream based blush. These products are not only a great alternative to banishing intense under eye darkness, but provide the same effect as correctors.
