Healthy recipe: Smuesli - a smoothie with a chewy twist

For a speedy smoothie with a chewy twist, check out this delicious smuesli recipe:
  • Blitz 100ml of skimmed milk with half a banana and a handful of fresh strawberries in a food processor.
  • Add a few dollops of natural yogurt - a frozen alternative will create a thick and creamy consistency - until you achieve your desired taste and texture.
  • Pour into a glass and top with homemade sugar-free muesli - 50g of whole oat flakes, 25g ground almonds, 1 tbsp pumpkin seeds, 1 tbsp roughly chopped macadamia nuts and 1 tbsp of sunflower seeds.
If smoothies fail to satisfy your stomach, you can still reap the results of fuelling your day the healthy way by serving the homemade muesli with a small bowl of natural yogurt and mixed berries - a delicious dish that can also be enjoyed as a nutritious dessert - or by spooning the smuesli into a bowl.
