Is your food harming more than just your health?
It doesn't matter if you're under eating or over eating, failing to fuel your body (and mind) with the vital vitamins, minerals and nutrients it needs to function effectively and efficiently on both a physical and psychological scale will have a detrimental impact on more than just your health - it will affect your weight, willpower, wellbeing and in some cases, your life.
Before you take another bite out of that sugar fuelled biscuit, demolish that delicious dessert, tuck into that tasty takeaway or subject your body (and mind) to a severe caloric deficit in an attempt to prevent piling on the pounds, think very carefully about how your chosen food or drink source (or lack of it) will affect your health - will it benefit your body on a physical and psychological scale by providing it with the fuel that it needs to function? or will it eliminate your exercise efforts, hinder your healthier habits and harm your health?
Never allow your obsession surrounding the quantity of food overwhelm your ability to acknowledge the quality of food. You may be able to eliminate excess energy via exercise, but you can't diminish the diseases that stem from the food and drink sources fuelled by salt, sugar and saturated fat as easily.
