Mani Monday: beaded nail art
This week's Mani Monday resembles one of my very first attempts at creating a set of textured talons - using 3D beads.
Although the final effect may be short lived, decorating your digits with beads not only creates a fun and quirky alternative to flaunting a set of fingertips that are preened and polished to perfection, but a statement set of talons that are guaranteed to ensure that you stand out from the crowd.
Top tip: avoid the application of a top coat (over the beads) when experimenting with beaded nail art - it will ruin the final effect and increase the risk of dislodging the delicate beads. Instead, paint your nails the same shade as your chosen beads and apply a good quality top coat prior to adding texture. This will not only provide a sticky surface for the beads to adhere to, but make the (potential) premature loss of beads less visible.
