Nailing It: Chip Proof Manicure

Chip proof talons may scream high maintenance, but flaunting digits polished to perfection between salon visits isn't necessarily impossible.

A great tip to brighten varnish while providing additional strength and protection to the nail plate and free edge, is to apply a clear top coat to the nails surface every other day. Not only will this simple trick preserve enamel application, but extend the durability of your manicure to one week on natural nails, and three weeks or more on artificial, or very hard nails.

Remember, unlike artificial nails, natural nails flex and bend when subjected to stress through unwanted knocks and bangs. Therefore, enamel is unable to completely bend with the nail in order to maintain adhesion to its full potential, forcing it to lift, crack and more than often, peel away.
By the simple, yet regular application of a top coat between professional manicures, your nails are guaranteed to reap the most benefits in protection, and appearance!
