Whether it's worrying about our wobbly bits, fixating on our fuller figure or beating ourselves up about the 'bloated belly' that tightens our trousers, we all fight a battle with our body that can cripple our confidence if we fail to control our psychological perception of our physique.

Instead of intensifying the insecurities that stem from your shape and size by bombarding your brain with toxic thoughts of body negativity, find the strength to mould a mindset that refuses to magnify the imperfections that fuel your fear of your figure, by becoming psychologically preoccupied with the positive parts of your body that you have learnt to love - a stunning smile, long legs and even something as 'silly' as a beautiful set of brows can all contribute to the creation of body confidence.

Although you may not possess the power to instantly fix your physical flaws (this will take hard work and healthier habits!), something as simple as believing that bits of your body are beautiful - inside and/or out - will take you on step closer to silencing the self doubt that prevents you from portraying body positivity.

Top tip: your journey from self loath to self love may resemble a rollercoaster of erratic emotions, but becoming blinkered to the body that society brands as 'beautiful' will leave you less likely to struggle to sustain self-esteem solely because you've convinced yourself that you've 'failed' to flaunt a flawless figure - a flawless figure that is merely a figment of the media's fake imagination.
