Nailing It: Enamel For Ageing Hands

From emphasizing imperfections, to an unsightly skin tone, opting for the wrong shade of enamel may instantly create an array of unflattering problems when combined with the ageing process, but the unwanted arrival of mature skin doesn't necessarily have to signal the end of flaunting talons polished to perfection.

Although clients of a more mature nature may instantly reach for soft, muted pinky browns in order to 'lift' their new sallow looking skin tones, ageing skin will in fact benefit from more colour, not less.

A great tip is to opt for a dusky pink, which is preferably more pink than dusky, as opposed to dark browns and purples which are renowned for emphasizing lines and wrinkles. Why? Simple...
The application of such a subtle shade will not only brighten and clarify the muddy looking skin tone often associated with age, but add warmth and sparkle without producing an extreme statement for all the wrong reasons!

Remember, for ageing hands which suffer arthritis induced deformities of the joints, beautifully manicured nails coated in bright enamel will also draw any unwanted attention away from the hands, allowing the nails to become the main focus.
