Child health:don't dip dummies into sweet substances...
Nippers Nutrition's top tip of the day...
Don't dip dummies into sweet substances such as syrups, honey, jams and juices.
Although a troublesome tot may trigger the temptation to dip their dummy into something sweet, this inappropriate action can not only drive them to develop a natural taste for sugary foods and fluids from an early age, but it can also increase the incidence of dental decay (a condition that commonly effects the front teeth when dummies are dipped) and adult and childhood obesity - children who develop a sweet tooth during childhood are much more likely to continue to satisfy it with the tasty treats that tighten their trousers throughout adolescence and adulthood.
