Ingredients - to make 4:
- 4 plain digestive biscuits (or nairins dark chocolate chip oat biscuits for a healthier alternative)
- 3 squares of white chocolate (or dark chocolate of at least 70% cocoa for a healthier alternative)
- 2 cherries - halved
- 8 dark chocolate chips (or raisins for a healthier alternative)
- dessicated coconut - the quantity can be tailored to suit your taste.
- Pop your chosen chocolate into a heat proof bowl and melt in the microwave for 2-3 minutes - checking at regular intervals to prevent burning.
- Create four 'beaks' by carving each halved cherry into a point (as seen in the image above) and set aside.
- Smear the melted chocolate over each biscuit before covering with dessicated coconut - creating one chick at a time will ensure that the coconut sticks to the chocolate.
- Use the dark chocolate chips (or raisins!) and carved cherries to create a set of eyes and a beak.
- Enjoy!
