Health & Nutrition: Super green smoothie recipe
If you're susceptible to a reduced appetite during the warmer months, smoothies are a fantastic way to ensure that your body receives the essential nutrients vital for health - particularly this super green alternative that's bursting with nutritious goodness!
Ingredients:
• 2 handfuls of baby spinach
• 1 cup of coconut water
• 1 small frozen banana
• 1 kiwi fruit - 1 green pear can be used as an alternative if preferred
• 2 heaped teaspoons of chia seeds
• 1/2 a small avocado
Optional ingredients:
• 1/2 a teaspoon of spirulina powder
What to do:
• Using a food processor, blend the spinach and coconut water until thoroughly combined.
• Add the remaining ingredients and blend well.
• Enjoy!
